This is your pal, Joshua Lewis, back on the scene for this topic on approaching where blame is due. This topic is a very good discussion point. Do any of the people stated here actually deserve any kind of blame for their actions? Are they perfectly innocent, or are they nothing more than psychotic mass murderers. Well, these questions are very simple to answer. Yes and no to all of them. These answers can both simultaneously exist with the same question. But, one person cannot say both answers for both groups. This is because these questions are all opinionated. Anyone can say that both are wrong, both are right, or one's wrong and the other is wrong. Now, I'm going to give you my opinion on the matter. And, my answers might surprise you. Or, they might not. It all depends on what you believe. First, I would like to talk about those who were involved in the murders in the Holocaust. These men murdered many innocent people for the sake of murdering. These men were part of the Nazi regime. They completely volunteered for this. They volunteered to commit acts of violence and murder on own free will. These men, in my opinion, are completely guilty for what they have done. They are the ones to blame for the things they have done.
Now, I would like to talk about those whom he had kill for them. In my personal opinion, these men are not guilty. These men are carrying out orders from their king. These were men who were raised to do everything the king had told them to do. Everything the king said was absolute law. If the king told them that they had to kill someone for the good of the kingdom, than you knew it was for the good of the kingdom. Also, in this time period, it was very easy to get killed for disobeying what your king has ordered you to do. So, these men had absolutely no room for blame to be placed on them. Their hands are completely clean.
Hi Josh,
ReplyDeleteReally interesting views. I especially liked your point that both a "yes" and "no" answer are appropriate to the question of guilt. The prompt for this writing assignment, however, was to talk about your thoughts on diversity and explore how diversity functions in our society. You accidentally responded to the Junior prompt. Please get me an amended post as soon as you can.
